is it possible to install openwrt packages

Post by lceron80 »

hello everyone. i have wondered if after installing gargoyle in my wndr3800 i can install some openwrt packages which i find useful for my configuration. i'm looking into installing wifitoggle and the kmod-leds-wndr3700-usb packages. i have searched the gargoyle forum but no hits. is this doable or not? if not doable, do you think asking Eric to add these will go anywhere? thanks in advance...

You should be able to add your own OpenWRT packages.

1) has to be done via command line (putty/ssh)
2) has to be configured via command line (no GUI settings)
3) has to be Attitude Adjustment packages (not TRUNK)

2x Asus RT-N16 = Asus 3.0.0.4.374.43 Merlin
2x Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH V1 A0D0 = Gargoyle 1.9.x / LEDE 17.01.x
2x Engenius - ESR900 Stock 1.4.0 / OpenWRT Trunk 49400

Do you need to do anything special to force the package manager to use just AA packages, or does that happen automatically?
