New Linksys WIFI Drivers

Post by Rog66 »

I have been having some problems with WiFi disappearing for some clients on my WRT1900ACS and noticed on the OpenWRT forums that new drivers have been released and backported to CC .Any chance these could be included in the next ispysail release to see if it fixes the problem?
Thanks
Roger.

I'm testing this and a new kernel version today.
If you'd like to try it, you can download from here:

I would also recommend adding this repository:
http://lantisproject.com/gargoyle_mvebu/newgui/default/

This build also contains a new GUI for the interface.

Would recommend not preserving settings

Thanks Lantis

I have it up and running on a WRT1900ACSv1 and can confirm -

1) WAN light now works
2) 5Ghz band now visible to all clients

Will report how stable the wifi is with new drivers as this used to take a few hours/a day to drop.

New UI looks like a step up but is obviously "work in progress". Most screens are just a bit too large and have to be scrolled a few lines at the moment.

So far so good - thanks for all the hard work!!!!!

Please report back.

Also can you provide additional feedback on what you mean about the new UI?
Thanks.

Sure - here's a screenshot of the status page. Both Edge and Chrome set at 100% show the same - the bottom of the page is just off the screen so you have to scoll down to get all the info.

Don't worry about the blanks - they've been removed from the screenshot the UI contained all the correct info.

testing on the Mamba version and everything seems to be ok for now.
Exploring the new interface....
I can't see the quota usage on the login page.
And please add a bandwidth usage graph on the login page :-)

Quotas on login works fine for me. Can you please provide additional details or logs?
It doesn't work on the quotas_usage page. is this what you meant?

And no to the graph sorry.

Edit:
I have made it clearer on the login screen, and fixed the quota_usage.sh page in general
