I thought level 7 was removed in 1.9 but yes if it's so broken we should think about removing it. If it can be removed with out messing anything up. If not then hide the option in the GUI. Just to let you no i don't rite code. I just help to test things and mod the forum. It's up to the devs who know a lot more than me to decide what is for the best.

It's very tightly integrated.
I intend to fix it, however I am time limited and it isn't trivial to fix.

It would take longer to pull it out of the code than is worth the trouble. It's easier for now just to tell people to avoid it.

ok but at least once its bricked my router and as it used to work (and worked on dd-wrt which I used to use) I just set it when I got this router - didn't look for any warnings not to first.

It took me a while to work out that it was the firewall restrictions causing the resets/bricks and then even longer to work out it was the protocol restriction.(it was during this testing that it bricked). Luckily I had a serial cable

Is it possible to either grey out the option in the new GUI or put a "DO NOT USE" next to the option until the code is fixed?

Thanks!

If you'd like to try it, you can download from here:
http://lantisproject.com/gargoyle_mvebu/newgui/

I would also recommend adding this repository:
http://lantisproject.com/gargoyle_mvebu/newgui/default/

This build also contains a new GUI for the interface.

Would recommend not preserving settings
Was going to give this a try (getting too many wifi problems with 1.9.1 and 1.9.x) and noticed that its been rebuilt since the original posting. So thought I would check on its status before installing... is the build from 8/31 'good to test' ? Thanks for all you do on Gargoyle!

If it's available for download it means it is the version I run in my home 24/7
I don't tolerate complaints about the Internet so it has to pass my personal stability tests ;)

Excellent! Loaded and running, will let you know if anything shows up.

I added http://lantisproject.com/gargoyle_mvebu/newgui/default/ as a plugin source, but the list of plugins (after refresh) don't -appear- to have changed. Is there a way to know the build date or repository that a plugin is from?

Sounds good, it shows up as Version: 20160718-1.2.0
and I thought that since it looked like the date was 07/18 that it was from 1.9.1

So, probably not related to the wireless drivers... but after just over 12 days, the performance went from 140Mb+/sec down 12Mb/sec up, to 5Mb/sec down 0Mb/sec up. Rebooted the router and its all back to normal. If there is data I can gather when this sort of thing happens that can help debug it, please let me know.
