Netgear AC3200 (Model R8000)
SoC: Broadcom BCM4709A0
WLAN H/W: Broadcom BCM43602 + BCM43602
Hey folks,
Sorry to be a bother, but I was wondering if someone could provide a temporary direct download for this may 25, 2016 firmware for the above router - I'm 100+km offgrid trying to install at a friend's house, and didn't realize the torrent was going to use the whole days data quota to download it.
I'd have it downloaded before the end of May 25, (23:59 PST)
Thanks,
Karen

Do we even support that router?
I extracted the images to my website at
lantisproject.com/gargoyle_ispyisail/images
So if it's there it's there but I don't think we have that one.

Thank you for the quick replies ispyisail and Lantis. I looked into it, and I'm not sure how to use the gargoyle_1.9.x-brcm47xx-generic-standard-squashfs.trx file that's uncompressed there Lantis
It seems that openwrt is my option then and installing gargoyle as a package? Is the documentation there current? (mainly the URLs?)
I'll give that a go and see if it works rather than risk bricking the new router. I was so frustrated when the store was out of stock (WRT1900ACv2) of the router I had already done, so I did a quick google of openwrt R8000 (and other routers on the shelf) and it was openwrt compatible, which I thought meant it would work with gargoyle - Just appears it'll need to be added as a package -
Sorry for my ignorance - and thanks for asking the questions that would point me in the right direction - I downloaded the trx file if you wanted to free up that space on your server Lantis - Not sure if I can use that file. Would I just rename it to the bin file and flash? or does it need to be compiled through some sort of shh?

That was a long time ago, before I had kids
No longer works
Your only option is to build your own image, that is not with out danger either.
I would return the router and get one from Eric

Gargoyle can no longer be installed as a set of packages.
I'll look into the R8000 for gargoyle for you when I get home from work.
TRX files are valid. Don't need to be renamed to bin. It's just a different format for different routers.
Hope this helps!

The r8000 is a no go from me. It's a lot of work to support.
It has 3 wifi interfaces which gargoyle won't know how to handle without significant overhaul.
