That configuration should work ok. But setting it via the GUI is currently probably broken.
I'm working to fix this.

I did install this version on my Archer C5 V1.2 (same as C7 v2.0).

Previous version: last ispy build from february 20th, 2016
Update mode: from GUI, with attempt of preserving the settings
Results:

- Router seems to be working as before. WAN as WiFi+DHCP on 2.4GHz, AP on both 2.4 and 5GHz (5GHz untested).
- Additional plugins and plugin sources were gone (Lantis wifi scanner) and had to be reinstalled
- 5GHz scan in the GUI still yields no results. "iwinfo wlan0 scan" still shows one 5GHz network

So, nothing new on the 5GHz topic. I don't use any of the fancier features.

Regards
Ektus.

Can you please either post or pm me the output of the scan that shows the 1 network. I'll manually feed the data in and see if there's something wrong.

OK - sounds good.
Let me know once you want me to test a build to report back if it works.
Btw... on 1.8.1 / 1.9.0 I spotted some odd behaviour where the GUI of the client mode would see the 5ghz network after clicking on scan a couple of times. But then it seems to be unable to connect to find it - again, clicking on scan a couple of times then results in the network showing up again.
Not sure if that's helpful but I found it interesting.

wdr 3600:

After having disabled the the wifi on the router, the Wireless section in the connection item doesn't show wifi disabled.
Also, the wireless Bridge option seems to be activate for no reason and I can't change anything on the page.

I have a problem with mini-upnpd stopping to respond to port 5000.
After 20-30 minutes, I can't open the link :

http://192.168.1.1:5000/rootDesc.xml

I have to turn off and on upnp in the settings to get it back.

Logread doesn't show anything special.
