This is a minor update: the "Refresh Plugins" button is moved up to the top of the section and if it is clicked in the absence of a WAN connection, then the user is prompted to Check their Internet connection.
Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?

Flashed the spare DIR-615 C1 and swapped it with the 1.6.2 that was being used for the past year or so.

Glad to see the LED fixes have been incorporated :)

Only difference so far is that it will not allow me to set a custom transmit of 21 like before. I tried to apply the reghack.mips.elf like with 1.6.2, but like before, it applied successfully to cfg80211.ko but then said no space left on device when I tried to patch cfg80211.ko.

Would it be please be possible to add it to the next test release?

Thanks :D

edit: I just had to add that web browsing is so much more noticeably snappier compared to 1.6.2. This is fantastic!

You shouldn't need to use that hack anymore.
Just set your country code on each wifi interface from the command line.

See this wiki https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/uci/wireless.
The option is "country" with a 2 letter code. E.g. Australia is AU.

Thanks.

I added txpower '21' and country 'jp', and iw phy0 info now gives me this:

                   total <= 2048, #channels <= 1, STA/AP BI must match
                 * #{ WDS } <= 2048,
                   total <= 2048, #channels <= 1, STA/AP BI must match
        HT Capability overrides:
                 * MCS: ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff
                 * maximum A-MSDU length
                 * supported channel width
                 * short GI for 40 MHz
                 * max A-MPDU length exponent
                 * min MPDU start spacing
And the change is indeed reflected in the Gargoyle GUI (Now shows 0-20dBm)

I believe that the reghack.mips.elf also bypassed the artificial dBm limit. Shouldn't it be able to theoretically go higher (DD-WRT allowed it - not that I'm complaining :) )

Those are indeed the correct outputs for Japan.

In theory yes it could go higher if your hardware is capable of doing so. But that would be against the local regulations.

Really! :-(
Need a little more info to investigate. When you click "Refresh Plugins" does exactly nothing happen? Did you have a WAN IP address (ie Internet connection) to the router?
