Upped a TL-WDR4300 v1.0 from Gargoyle-ispy 2014-December-17 to Gargoyle-ispy 2014-December-24 without issue, post flash triggered failsafe mode then firstboot.

No issues so far but I've only had the unit up for an hour. Will let you know if I run into any issues.

Is it a Must to enter failsafe to make firstboot or is there any other method to do a clean install ?

Using firstboot is the equivalent of a factory reset, generally not necessary but I prefer to start with a clean slate to reduce the potential for issues.
