That patch will only effect OpenWRT trunk. These builds from ispyisail will still be using OpenWRT Attitude Adjustment because that's the OpenWRT branch Gargoyle is built with.

Will need to wait and see if it gets back ported to Attitude Adjustment branch.

i am sorry for asking this here but i thought i'd try dd-wrt before trying your new release and now that i want to go back i am stuck.. whenever i flash any gargoyle bin it just restarts and back to the same firmware,
no firmware can be flashed from gui and the recovery window is too narrow i cannot successfully flash with tftp. could this be nvram problem?
or is there a bin i can use to go back to gargoyle please???
my quota is being abused and the people in my network is out of control i need to get back that easy-to-configure quota limit.
thank you.

You know you probably have to take Stock can cut down the bin file? There is a thread from memory on dd-wrt that has all the "back to stock" files as an attachment.

I once faced this problem too. Everytime I tried to upgrade new firmware when using DD-WRT, it came back after reboot. Even webrevert images DD-WRT provides didn't work.

I solved this problem by using SCP to copy firmware image (beware, sometimes you need to use stripped image, depends on router) to /tmp folder on router. Then I issued this command (image.bin is name of the firmware file I uploaded):

Code: Select all

mtd -r write /tmp/image.bin linux
After that I finally managed to get back to factory firmware.

This could probably also solved using TFTP.
