Translation in French : how much work?

Hi,
I discovered and installed Gargoyle on a Netgear WNDR3700v2 one week ago and I LOVE IT!
It does exactly what I wanted to implement : QoS + bandwith monitoring + access restriction.
Well, I have a family, I work at home and I use VOIP as well as video conferencing so when my kids / teenagers are downloading or reading videos on the shared internet access... you understand my motivation :-)

It was very easy to install and configure and the result is awesome; Congratulations to Eric + all the contributors for this wonderful piece of work.

Now my contribution proposal :
I'm French and I know a lot of other people have the same need like me. So I'm keen to share a bit of my time to :
- animate a French part of the forum as I know the language barrier may be an obstacle for some of us
- perform a Gargoyle French translation.

Happy to give back some help in this great project.

Kind Regards,
Christophe

I would like to contribute for a french langage plugin to Gargoyle router.
This has already be done for other langages than english.
What is the process to create such a plugin for french langage, probably based on an existing english langage plugin ?
Thanks for your answer.

Take each of these files
https://github.com/ericpaulbishop/gargo ... English-EN

And translate them to English.

E.g. The line
ovwS.michael="my name is michael";
Becomes
ovwS.michael="je m'appelle michael";

Only change the things in the quotation marks. File names shouldn't be changed either.
Once you've finished all the changes if you can upload them somewhere I'll package them into a plugin for you :)

Hello,

I'm using Gargoyle 1.8.1 on a WZR-HP-AG300H.
This firmware is great and I was disappointed there was no French language pack, so I worked on the French translation.
I don't know if previous members who posted here already worked on it but I post my files just in case (link last 30 days, I'll re-upload if asked):

Have a look and don't hesitate to ask me if needed.

Happy New Year!

/www/i18n I think.
What did you want to change? Is it something that others may benefit from
