X86 custom build

Post by lceron80 »

hi everyone,
i am looking into building a custom x86 image for an old pc desktop that i have. i have already flashed a usb drive with 1.12. and tried to use as ap but wifi is disabled by default and could not get it to enable by any means. checked the forum and everything points to building an image for my specific need. i have a Qualcomm Atheros QCA9558, Qualcomm Atheros QCA9880-BR4A that i salvaged from an archer c7 v2 with the hope of turning into an AP. how do i build an image specifically x86 64 with the correct software built into it so that when i set it up for the first time wifi would be enabled via gui and configured as an AP for wireless devices? thanks.

You need to include:
Ath9k, ath10k-ct, ath10k-firmware-988x-ct, iwinfo, hostapd-openssl
At a minimum. There's more I'm sure I have forgotten.

To have preconfigured wifi will require a patch or the use of custom files in OpenWrt build environment.

Please be respectful when posting. I do this in my free time on a volunteer basis.
