Can the Netgear XR500 be added to this build?

Does that device even have OpenWrt support? I can't see any...

Not officially but I'm running a modified openwrt r7800 firmware. Works fine, but I'd love to have gargoyle on it. R7800 and xr500 are the same hardware except ram.

If it's not supported upstream, i'm not that interested in maintaining it here.
Sorry.

Come back and let us know if it gets official support.

(this of course does not stop you from customising your own build)

Bummer 😥 thank you for the quick reply. I will watch for official support, but I doubt it as it's been requested with no results.

Just a quick note to say that I've just installed 1.13.X (Built 20200407-1345 git@d3bec43b) on my EA8500, looking forward to testing IPv6, and good to have bandwidth monitoring and control back in the current WFH environment.

Edit: what is the best way to contribute to this work (IPv6 support and EA8500 support)? Messages here? Issues on Lantis's github? I can't do much other than test, and help diagnose.

That would be Lantis' build not mine - I think his development thread would be a more appropriate location for follow-ups.

Either the development thread noted above or specific bug reports to github I would think.

For IPv6 specific stuff (and 1.13 in general) yes the Openwrt 19.07 thread is the appropriate spot.
Any testing or feedback is of course welcome.
