Found a problem, my LG G7 with Pie will take a few minutes before it can detect my router while a Sumsung with Pie has no problem. Tested the LG G7 with other router that is not on Openwrt, no such problem. Looks like LG has bug with its wifi software that is not compatible with Openwrt.

I also have a LG G7 and have not noticed any problems.

Having said that I haven't looked either.

I'm going to look now

Thanks for the info, will test ddwrt later and see, my router is a WRT1900AC v2

Got it fixed. Since I could not install ddwrt, it always boot back to stock. Anyway, I changed my 2.4ghz channel from 4 to 6 and everything work now. My G7 will connect to my router's 2.4Ghz as soon as I turn wifi on and it will also automatically switch to 5Ghz too.
