The show, the tell, and the appreciation.

Post by danielwritesback »

I heard of Gargoyle from the dd-wrt forum, as the answer to fix a not-quite-stable Archer C7v2. It works great with Gargoyle 1.11rc1. Very reliable!

In fact, I had come to rely on it because it is certainly the fastest that has includes well-working QOS and durable wifi.
Then I wanted a backup. So, I bought a DIR835 vA1, which is similar, albeit smaller scale than my Archer, and loaded Gargoyle 1.11rc1.

That worked very well with the DIR835. Since it is less powerful than my Archer, I reconnoitered the topic of removing auto-start of services that aren't part of the usual job of a gateway router. That made it go fast, especially on page speed responsiveness tests. Previously, I thought a no-lag Atheros was fiction; but, I have one now. THANKS!!!

With Gargoyle 1.11rc1, it is quite stable; and, you've done impressively well.
