The only problem I've had is the wireless power misreported by 5x on the 2.4ghz band, resulting in a maximum of 62mw, which is not quite enough. Also, high speed reception, low speed transmit, means that the router's wifi isn't as strong as the clients, which are phones. If a router could be embarrassed, this one is.
All other features work perfectly, but, I did happen to need 2.4ghz wifi range to cover more than half of my little bungalow house. It is worth a mention that the 2.4ghz is so poor that the 5ghz reaches twice as far.
It isn't the hardware because, the situation is exactly backwards with DD-WRT, in that the 2.4ghz wifi works brilliantly, but most other features have settings difficulties, especially with DD-WRT's summer 2018 updates.
So, with Gargoyle, I can get an excellent router, excellent 5ghz, and heavily constrained 2.4ghz. Or, with DD-WRT I can get an excellent 2.4ghz access point. Do I need 2 boxes?
