Yes, the kernel is now too big for that device.
One of the annoying things is that the stock device uses only a small kernel petition to increase the amount of user space available.

This can be adjusted with a custom build, but you would be removing the ability to revert to stock, and I think you would need to TFTP the new firmware across.

Looks like about 20 - 30 people have downloaded so far and no complaints.

Could be a very good build?

They bricked their routers and just unable to connect to internet to complain =)

Hi is kernel bigger on Gargoyle than OpenWRT 18.06 as my wdr3600 v1 runs 18.06 just fine.

Works great for me, with most options turned on.
I still have to add a LEDE repo to have snmpd.
