That sets up the correct regulatory settings and lets the DFS module fire.
Might need to start a new thread, or maybe I'm not searching correctly...

After setting this up, things look great and with the suggested settings I get on channel 64 with no problem with my WD My Net N750. However.... after a few days I get a log message of:

Code: Select all

Aug 10 16:34:53 xxxxxx xxxx: hostapd: wlan1: IEEE 802.11 driver had channel switch: freq=5745, ht=1, offset=1, width=2 (40 MHz), cf1=5755, cf2=0
Out of the blue it just changes channels, which is problematic since some of my equipment doesn't like the higher channels. Any idea what causes this?

Radar (or other) signals which, by law, require the AP to announce an immediate channel switch and vacate the frequency.
It is just doing what is intended.
