Would this release have the new wireless drivers for the "WRT" series?

WRT1900AC V2, back to stock firmware and flashed this version. Re-enter all configuration, DHCP, pppoe, wifi and Mac address filtering. Everything works fine except I have to reboot modem to get internet working.

One question, can I load previous configuration setting files to this version. ie configuration back up file from 4/15 to 5/25?

By the way, Thank you very much for the hard work.

No to the latest drivers.
They can't easily be back built anymore.

And yes you should be able to restore that config.

Flashed this release on Buffalo WZR-AG300NH & everything work fine but I cannot make transmission work as I config it as 1.9.1 release. Anw, thanks for your great effort.

Trying to upgrade my TP-Link Archer C5 running 1.9.X (Built 20170224-0007 git@c4cb5d5), preserving settings. There is no error message, and the router reboots, but afterwards the system reports the very same version. It's still running, transmission and all, but shouldn't it report a newer build date?

I'm running transmission on that router to download and host the gargoyle-ispy archives. In order to have space for this, I'm running in Extroot mode. Is this interfering with the update, or is there another problem?

Regards
Ektus.

Can you try killing transmission first? Could be an out of memory issue

I'd say that's unlikely:
Memory Usage:42.5MB / 123.1MB (34.5%)
Swap Memory Usage:0MB / 1191.9MB (0%)

There's a 128GB USB stick attached, and lots of space free:

Code: Select all

Looks more like a problem with extroot.

I've been able to update to the build from June 14th, 2017 by following these steps:

1) Log in with SSH, issue reboot command (shutdown is missing)
2) Wait unil the LEDs go dark, unplug the USB stick
3) Boot the router from the internal drive
4) Update to the latest version, preserving settings.
5) Reboot. Plug the stick back in and reboot again.

It now reports "1.9.X (Built 20170613-1957 git@7cf7ad1)" and seems to be running normally.

Trying to flash the May 25 build with extroot active and June 14th running once again proved unsuccessful.
