Ive mocked up ideas for this.
There’s a good change coming in upstream Openwrt which might enhance this as well (being able to query STAs to find their capability).

By "mocked up", you mean something like "gathered/collected"?

Tested basic command to check if you can push a client between bands.
You can’t. But you can encourage them to do it themselves.

Is this what "Band Steering" it's all about? Didn't know the Router/AP could do that.

Yes :)
The AP can push between them if they are handled by a single hostapd instance. Otherwise you need to be a bit clever.
