sajjadhalai, You gave a download link - however the file has a password and can't be opened. What is the password to open the file?

I am starting to work on a captive portal feature for Gargoyle. I'm basing it on some other open source code that has already been released under the GPL: http://code.google.com/p/home-internet-cafe/ More details here: http://brage.bibsys.no/hia/bitstream/UR ... ppgave.pdf

The features I am looking to add initially are:
- Block outbound internet traffic for any mac address until a user logs in from that address
- Have a local list of users that have the following details
-- Total Internet access time per day
-- Hours user is permitted to access the Internet
-- Password
- When a user logs in, allow them to access the internet if they have daily time remaining & they are within the hours of access.

I'm new to Gargoyle. I have a few questions about adding this type of feature:
- Is this something that could work as a plugin? I would prefer to develop it as something modular, if possible.
- Any suggestions on how this could be best implemented in general? The code available above chooses a particular method, though I'm not sure it's the best possible approach.

Thanks in advance for any information you could provide.
