In my main networks i make MAC Filter Policy to allow only my devices but i would like to make a Guest network that will connect guest (maybe with some Quotas/QOS restrictions) but when i make the Guest network the MAC filter is applied there too.

Could this be separated?

Yes it could. But the implementation requires a bit of thought. There’s a few ways it could be done.

1. Don’t apply any filtering to guest at all
2. Give the option to not apply filtering to guest
3. Allow filtering individually per network
4. Allow filtering guest network separately

1 and 2 are easy, but maybe not the best solutions.

If you want to enable it for yourself now, just edit your /etc/config/wireless and remove the filtering options from the guest network “gn” ifaces. The two options are either an “allow” or “deny” and a list of Mac addresses.

Then restart the wifi
