Rename LAN ports

Post by dancardwell »

Hi, on the "status" page there is a section for LAN
LAN
LAN IP Address:
192.168.*.1
LAN Netmask:
255.255.255.0
LAN MAC Address:
**:**:**:**:**:**
Port
Status
LAN1
-
LAN2
1Gbps
LAN3
1Gbps
LAN4
1Gbps
would it be possible to name these ports eg LAN1= "TV" LAN2= "bedroom" LAN3= "office" LAN4= "lounge"

I'm not looking specifically for something to be added as a feature (although that would be nice, but probably not in great demand) more wondering if there's a block of code than I can edit to rename them manually?

All help gratefully appreciated

If you want to temporarily implement this yourself
/usr/lib/gargoyle/switchinfo.sh
Near the bottom you’ll see where the labels for LAN1-LAN4 are generated. You can adjust them there.
http://lantisproject.com/downloads/gargoyle_ispyisail.php for the latest releases
Please be respectful when posting. I do this in my free time on a volunteer basis.
