How can i save logs automaticly?

Post by murcielagotr »

my lan setup: zyxel 660 adsl modem> TP-Link WR1043ND v1.8 with gargoyle v1.47 > 4 X TL-WA830RE range extender

we have a site contains 64, small 2 flour summer houses.

we are on testing now. system works fine. i did not set up quotas or qos yet.

my problem is, every powerloss or powercycle we loose
Bandwidth Usage
B/W Distribution
Web Usage
Connected Hosts
Current DHCP Leases and Connected Hosts
Connection List
Current Connections
data.

which is important to help&protect againist any illegal activity.
(i mean if authorities ask logs, sometimes if you dont loggin means you are responsible)

is there a way to automate, backup these data to email, ftp adress, etc..?

Saving so often may require a lot of resources... May be better to send logs by e-mail?

*bump*

It would be a very handy automated function, even if it were just to a router connected flash drive.
