Skype to Skype qos cause bootloop

Post by buluba89 »

Hello, thanks a lot for this firmware, i have tried a lot of things and this is my favorite. Congrats to the developers

I want to report i problem that i found, when i added the skype to skype to my upload qos, the router started bootlooping. I fixed it by booting in failsafe mode and deleting the skype entry in the /etc/config/qos_gargoyle file. Afterward the router started normally.

My router is TP-Link TL-WDR4300 v1 and the gargoyle version is 1.9.2.

Not that big problem not having the skype qos, but i post this more as a warning for other WDR4300 owners

Thank you

I am guessing you are referring to L7 Pattern matching in this post.

This type of matching and its problems are discussed here https://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/doku.php?id=qos. It needs to be completely removed from Gargoyle since it is no longer supported by its developers.

But thanks for your input.
