Connecting to Verizon HomeFusion router

Also, where did you discover that the IP address of the antenna is 192.168.1.3 and what is the make/model of the antenna?

A Verizon tech support advisor gave me the IP 192.168.1.3 for the LTE-DTV antenna … this does not mean it's accurate. When I look at the DHCP connections in the "IP Distribution List" in the antenna settings, the TG790 has an IP of 192.168.1.3. When I look at the "TG790 Status", the TG790 has the default IP I gave you (192.168.1.254) and the antenna has an IP of 72.104.84.50 … See screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ow29urm7xtzrk ... s.jpg?dl=0

Could you please provide a network diagram showing the all devices, the physical connections between devices, the ports that the wires are connected into (ie LAN or WAN),

There is one device that I don't know how to identify that shows up on the "My Network" list in the TG790 settings:

I think the idea that you are missing is that the Gargoyle router has 2 IP addresses; one on either side of the firewall (WAN vs LAN), and that these must be on different subnets (192.168.1.253 vs 192.168.0.1).

All of the devices on the LAN side of Gargoyle will receive IP addresses like 192.168.0.xxx via DHCP, based on the setting at:
Gargoyle - Connection - Basic - Local Network / LAN - Router IP: 192.168.0.1

Devices on the WAN side of Gargoyle will receive IP addresses like 192.168.1.xxx via DHCP from the TG790

... is there any way to connect the TL-WR1043ND via DHCP?

In this case we need to give the WAN side of the Gargoyle router a static IP address 192.168.1.253 so that you can implement the suggestion from @varma

moreover I suggest to find the DMZ Host option in the TG790
and set it toward the WR1043ND WAN IP
(in your case 192.168.1.253)

this will help you to set up port forwarding just once in Gargoyle instead in both the routers

Unplug the WAN port from gargoyle router to the verizon homefusion router and reset the "Verizon HomeFusion router" back to factory default.

On the gargoyle router only leave your PC/Laptop on LAN port 1 dont plug in your WAN port to the Verizon HomeFusion router yet!

Login into Gargoyle - Connection - Basic - Internet/WAN
Connect via: DHCP (Wired)

Save settings

Back to Connection Basic - Local Network / LAN
Router IP: 192.168.3.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Save settings

Connection > DHCP - DHCP
tick LAN DHCP Server Enabled
DHCP Range
Start 192.168.3.10
End 192.168.3.253
Lease time 10hrs

Save settings then reboot, Once rebooted plug your WAN port from the gargoyle router into your Verizon HomeFusion router you should pickup an IP address from "Verizon HomeFusion router" anywhere between 192.168.1.2-192.168.1.253 making it an 192.168.1.0/24 subnet.

Your gargoyle router LAN ip range would be 192.168.3.10-192.168.3.253 so like iPads, PCs/Laptops, Xbox etc)

So really this should work as is separated network between the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet range.

Another way of doing it is completely getting away from the 192.168.x.x subnet range and going for 172.16.x.x /16 or 10.0.x.x/8 but 10.0.x.x/8 range would create more problems running into conncting to a VPN client.

Ok, If would like to do that, Heres the info

Go to your Gargoyle Router >

Connection Basic - Local Network / LAN
Router IP: 10.200.200.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Save settings

Connection > DHCP - DHCP
tick LAN DHCP Server Enabled
DHCP Range
Start 10.200.200.10
End 10.200.200.253
Lease time 10hrs

save, Reboot

Again the LAN ip range would be anything from 10.200.200.10-10.200.200.253

Note ^^ Dont do this if anyone is connected to a Cable Modem as the Cable Modem DHCP range is on the 10.x.x.x/8 subnet range.

I suggest to find the DMZ Host option in the TG790
and set it toward the WR1043ND WAN IP (in your case 192.168.1.253)

this will help you to set up port forwarding just once in Gargoyle instead in both the routers

^^ Optional but for Gaming, FTP is needed.

Why is it important to configure Gargoyle prior to connecting the WAN port to the Verizon?

… in order for my computer to recognize the new router IP: 192.168.3.1. (I surprisingly was aware that I needed to do this after a week of learning about IP Addresses and such from the ground up.) This little piece was helpful in that awareness:

I did not see anywhere the DHCP settings of the TG790, but given that the TG790 had an IP address of 192.168.1.254 I guessed that it might likely be some subset of 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.250. Hence, I suggested static 192.168.1.253 for the Gargoyle WAN port, 192.168.0.1 for the Gargoyle LAN and 192.168.0.100 - 192.168.0.200 for the Gargoyle DHCP. I do not understand why you chose 192.168.3.1.

Can you explain the TG790 and LTE-DTV setup - I don't get it.

I got this page from the System Monitoring page (http://192.168.1.254/router_status.lp?) (p.s. I now understand that 72.104.84.49 is my public IP)
