TL-WDR4300: Degraded wireless performance in 1.5.11

I had been using Gargoyle 1.5.9 in my TP-Link WRD4300 for some months, and now after upgrading to 1.5.11 wireless performance has went down significantly, in the exact same location and setup I used to get 4 signal bars (in Fedora 19, GNOME 3 with NetworkManager) now I only get 2. Average bandwidth went down from 40-50Mbps to 20Mbps, with no configuration changes whatsoever beside the firmware change.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? I tried tweaking the txpower up and down but got no improvements.

Regards,
Daniel

are you having TX DMA errors (look in the console, dmesg)

[16281.190000] ath: phy0: Failed to stop TX DMA, queues=0x100!
