WNDR3700v2 w/ 1.5.11 - Can't Get Ports to Forward

Post by Grahambo »

On my WNDR3700v2, I upgraded with no installation problems to 1.5.11 using the firmware update menu and the *sysupgrade.bin file. Outbound functionality seems fine, but inbound TCP ports that I have forwarded to my web server, such as 80, 443 and 22 will not respond when I hit the firewall from the outside. Inside my LAN the ports work fine on the web server. I tried upgrading twice keeping settings one time, and manually reapplying them the other time with the same result. The same port forwarding configuration works under 1.5.10.

Has anyone else with a WNDR3700v2 upgraded to 1.5.11 and gotten port forwarding to work?

I have this model for testing purposes, and I cannot reproduce this problem on 1.5.11. Port forwarding works fine for me.

Double-check that you aren't enabling anything else (e.g. remote admin) on these same ports that you are trying to forward. Only one application can control a given port on a given IP address.

Here's my remote access settings, so I don't think those ports are conflicting:

Hi,

The problem is that you are forwarding to an IP adres that's not in your DHCP range. Try changing your start DHCP range to 10.2.8.2.

Kind regards,
Meller74.

Meller74, I doubt that's the problem, as I've never known that to be a requirement for port forwarding on any ROM. More likely he simply has made .2 a static assignment, in which case you don't want it in the DHCP range.

Was this ever resolved?
I have exactly this issue with a TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v1
I have no issues when using another router so I know the ISP is ok etc.
I did not try this router before flashing Gargoyle, but I don't think that would make any difference.
Any ideas? I even tried DMZ but I still show as having no open ports

Thanks in advance, apart from this problem I am stoked with the features, especially the limits
