WR841N v5 wireless 130Mbps only

Hi I flashed my router with the stable version 1.4.5, and now wireless is only 130Mbps.

I have tried this using SSH but it did not work:

uci set wireless.radio0.noscan=1
uci commit
reboot

This solution was discussed here: https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=30315

I guess I can live with 130Mbps, but is there any solution to get it to 300M?

Thanks.

Did it work with 300Mb/s with default firmware? what is Your connection configuration (i mean wireless settings)?
Have You setup to use 40Mhz? (only then it will work with full speed)

Hi Thanks for replying.
I actually did not notice the speed on factory firmware. I should have checked it before upgrading.

Also I lost internet connectivity while connected via LAN to the router, however wireless seems to be ok.

And I tried to download using both LAN and wireless connection, there is no big difference in speed so I think 130Mbps is still ok.

My wireless setting is: 40MHz(2nd channel above) and channel is 6, tx power is 13dbm, and WPA2 encryption.

Try to use channel 3. About speed, it may depend on wificard inside computer. What wifi card is it?

Unless you have a specific reason for setting your tx power so low, I think you will be happier with the tx power set higher than 13.

I have a wireless n card on my laptop.

I changed both tx power to max, and channel to 3, wireless became unstable for a few minutes, sometimes showing 117Mbps, sometimes no internet access, then stable @ 130Mbps.

I think tx power is only for the signal and while @ 13 the signal is still excellent.
