I can't get client mode working

Post by Kisiel »

Hi,

I have TP Link WR1043N/ND v. 2.1 with Gargoyle ver. 1.12 installed and I cant get it to work as a client mode. I want to connect it to my local wifi network and then provide this access via ethernet my old PC, which does not have a wifi.

I have a HALNy router with an access IP 192.168.33.1 and DHCP turned on, which assignes IP addresses starting from 192.168.33.2 (I don't know whether it is important or not).

I get access to the TP-Link - Conncection -> Wireless Bridge/Repeater

Bridge IP (must be outside AP subnet): 192.168.34.1
AP/Gateway IP: 192.168.33.1
WAN Ethernet port: disabled
DNS Servers: use gateway as DNS server
[CONNECT VIA CLIENT BRIDGE]
Repeater Disabled
and then just all random - I scan for the wifi network and put in CORRECT password.

After reboot, TP-Link is not accessible on any IP address, and there is no internet via Ethernet cable.

What am I doing wrong? Should I change anything in my router settings? I know that the IP should be outside of AP subnet, but is this a problem? When I login to my router's panel and check WLAN MAC address table, I can see a MAC address of my TP-LINK
