two different IP addresses how to connect

Post by stillo »

Hello,
I have a problem with the Gargoyle settings for 2 IP addresses.
HP T620 server with preloaded Proxmox and Home Assistant.
Huawei SUN2000 inverter with IP address 192.168.8.1 (connection via internal Wifi of the inverter and no possibility of altering the addressing)
Local network 192.168.1.1

The inverter connects to the router wirelessly, and then the router connects to the local network via a cable.

How to set the router so that the Inverter 8.1 is visible in the 1.1 network.

Try changing the subnet mask to 255.255.0.0

Warning: also computers and everything connected to the network will have a new subnet mask.

... but I'm surprised you can't change the IP address from 192.168.8.1 to another. According to the instructions, it should work.
