TP-Link MR3420 v1.2 as REPEATER / Extender

Post by Paul2020 »

Hi. Tried Gargoyle v1.10, 1.8, and 1.6, but none worked for me in configuring my MR3420 v1.2 as a simple repeater. I could connect to it via wifi but there was no internet connection. I noticed from 1.10 down to lower versions there was a difference in the "bridge IP" instructions in that 1.10 said it must be outside AP subnet, whereas lower versions say it must be within ... though I tried both, not sure why that difference exists.

Followed the instructions as per the wiki ... but no joy.

Does the TL-MR3420 v1.2 work as a repeater with Gargoyle? Surely I'm missing something, but not sure what...

Thanks.

There is a difference in later versions which is important.
Your device should work fine, did you want to provide some more details about the settings you've used and tried so that we might be able to assist?
