Can't access my bridged modem

Post by uysiquebien »

I've got Gargoyle 1.10.0 which I use with a modem in bridge mode. Some time ago I think (I am almost completely sure) I could access the web interface of it using its IP address, but now I can't. Gargoyle (and my home network) is at 192.168.255.1/24 and the modem is at 192.168.1.1/24. I can't ping it at all, not even from the Gargoyle router itself. The only way to access it is if I connect a notebook directly to the LAN port of the modem.

What might be wrong? Do I need a static route maybe? Thanks!

I had the same question/doubt when switching to PPPoE, and solved it by following this guide. See if that's also your case.
TP-Link Archer C7 v2 - Gargoyle 1.12.X
TP-Link WR842ND v2 - Gargoyle 1.10.X
TP-Link RE450 AC v2 - Stock FW 1.0.4
TP-Link WA850RE v1.2 - LEDE 17.01.1

Thanks! Just editing the /etc/ppp/ip-up.d/modemaccess.sh file did it. I set ROUTER_IP to 192.168.1.2.
