TP-Link WR841N / No Connection to GUI ans SSH after few Minutes

Post by surfkiller20 »

Hi!

Im an new Gargoyle User from Germany.

I have installed Gargoyle 1.10.0 on an TPLink WR841N V11.1 and configured it as a Wireless Bridge.

Everything works fine for me expect one Thing:

I can not connect to the Web GUI and to SSH after a few minutes after a device reboot.
I can ping the device but when i try to connect via WebGUI my Browsers (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox) just say: Connection Refused. SSH via Putty under Win10 and directly from ubuntu 18.04 says "Connection Refused"
After a reboot i can connect on both ways for around 5 Minutes than the SSH Session freezes and the GUI Session timed out but the Bridge still works fine.

My Connection:

Primary Router (192.168.2.1) <WIRELESS> Gargoyle (192.168.2.5) gets from Primary the IP 192.168.2.112
I can connect via *.112 and this Adress answers to pings all the time.

In few Words:
The Bridge works fine all the time but i can´t connect to the WebGUI and SSH after a few minutes.

Sorry if my english is not perfect, but i hope you understand my Problem.

It sounds like you aren’t setting up the bridge correctly.
The router IP should be in a different subnet as per the hint text in the GUI
