Re: TP-Link Archer C7 v.2 routing speeds with QoS
One additional test. Affect on routing speed / Wi-Fi speed while maxing out both.... Gargoyle 1.9.0, ispy Nov 4, QoS enabled default ruleset, Wi-Fi VHT80, speed set to 251 / 210 Mbps, ACC off (Two Wi-Fi clients speed testing server/client both on Wi-Fi, 400 Mbps combined) Routing speed: 46 / 45 (Wi-...

Re: TP-Link Archer C7 v.2 routing speeds with QoS
Retested with a freshly reset router, running 1.9.0 ispy Nov. 4 version. QoS is definitely slower in 1.9 than 1.8, but routing is faster. Gargoyle 1.9.0, ispy Nov 4, QoS disabled Routing speed: 242 / 199 SSH speed, SSH running on router: 28 / 25 Gargoyle 1.9.0, ispy Nov 4, QoS enabled default rulese...

Perfect. Thanks.Lantis wrote: The GUI doesn't support 802.11ac yet.
You can set it manually through the command line as I have.
After making changes, issue a "wifi" command to bring the interfaces down and back up to apply changes.

Re: TP-Link Archer C7 v.2 routing speeds with QoS
Also if you could post/pm me your testing methodology using zperf? I was unsuccessful in doing similar tests last time I tried. I've only ever been able to make it work when using a 2nd router. WAN port of router under test (my C7 in this case) and the WAN side computer both plug into that router (...

Re: TP-Link Archer C7 v.2 routing speeds with QoS
Is flashing again with "attempt to preserve settings" not checked good enough? Something still seems off, as I can only set my 5Ghz Wi-Fi to 40 Mhz channel mode wireless N, not 80 Mhz wireless AC.ispyisail wrote: do a proper failsafe reset or re flash again

TP-Link Archer C7 v.2 routing speeds with QoS
I got a TP-Link Archer C7 v.2 today, and spent some time speed testing. Hope somebody finds this interesting. Testing done using a recent model iMac and MacBook Pro, both with SSD, and an app called zPerf (an iPerf 3.0 implementation). All tests done twice, for 30 seconds, and averaged. I tested bot...

Re: SSH secured by public key?
I was able to do so by following the directions in the OpenWRT wiki http://wiki.openwrt.org/oldwiki/Dropbea ... ationHowto. I followed the Linux directions, but used a Mac instead.

Re: DDNS unable to update root zone
Good news! Simply updating the root domain as mydomain.com works. It correctly updates the @.mydomain.com entry in ZoneEdit.

Re: DDNS unable to update root zone
Unknown. Older versions will not work in my router, a WNDR3800.
