on this unit i'm working with version 1.6.2 without special issues, except rarely wireless drop after 22 days or something, it's not persistent but it occurs.
for your second question - i didn't try to do this so i don't know the answer.

it's v2.1 if you look under the router unit you see the hardware and serial number of your unit.

TL-WR1043ND V3

tp-link released version 3 of this router, it seems that the hardware is the same like v2.1 but supports ipv6, if i flashed firmware that compatible to version 2.1, i will brick my unit or not?

i'm using gargoyle v1.6.2 almost 21 days and yesterday suddenly the wlan connection drop and i reboot the wifi card on the router by press stop and start radio button on the gui. my unit work perfect before. i setup wifi to work on AP+WDS mode, it is a bug in this mode? now i change to access point ...

block ping from WAN SIDE

i can't find a setting on the GUI to block ping from wan side and nor lan side.
i search the web and find that i need to setup this in CLI commands and not gui.
am i wrong? i want a simple gui setting to define block ping from wan side only.

my router is TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND V2.1
