Re: Update TL-WDR4300 1.5.11 - 1.6.1

Very unlikely that you will brick your router unless by some extremely unlucky chance that your power went out during flashing. It is always a possibility that the upgrade could glitch and the config gets corrupted so you have to reset the router and reflash / reconfigure fresh. No guarantees on fla...

Re: ath: phy0: Failed to stop TX DMA, queues=0x004!

Since you have a hardware modded - non-standard router, you need to do testing with standard OpenWRT images first. Test with a regular OpenWRT image and make sure it boots properly, wireless/wired works, etc. If there are still issues with standard OpenWRT, Gargoyle will not work properly on your de...

I sent you a reply via your PM as well.

Re: Installing Gargoyle on Buffalo WZR-600DHP

http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/buffalo/wzr-600dhp See that page - read the section under Installation Currently there is no specific firmware for the WZR-600DHP. Instead you use the same firmware as the Buffalo WZR-HP-AG300H which provides the same functionality due to the similar hardware. So yes, it ...

Re: Saving Settings TL-WR1043ND

What router are you using?

What firmware did you flash from? Stock firmware?

Sometimes you have to reset to defaults and reflash Gargoyle.

Re: TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND unreachable

Try this first: http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/generic.failsafe Once you can get into failsafe, serial should help you out http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr1043nd#serial Gargoyle is based on OpenWRT - but uses a VERY different config Gargoyle & OpenWRT configs are not compatible with ...

Re: USB transfer rate -1mbps

To test what transfer rates your router would support, first do some WIRED transfer rate testing. That will give you your benchmark on what your router/USB HD combo can give you as transfer rate for max speed. Next, try a file transfer over wireless, but make sure you are within 6 feet (2 meters) of...

Re: Rebooting or unplugging router restores default config

When you flashed to 1.5.11 did you do a reset to defaults? Re-flash and make sure you do not keep config. Yes, Gargoyle 1.5.11 and 1.6.0 is based on OpenWRT AA 12.09. The Gargoyle GUI and some of its modules add quite a bit more space. Most 4MB flash routers can accept the images. It's just the DIR6...

Re: Rebooting or unplugging router restores default config

The firmware 1.6.0 for Dir600 is too large.

Version 1.5.11 is the only one you should flash on a DIR600/601/615

Re: is it possible to install openwrt packages

You should be able to add your own OpenWRT packages.

1) has to be done via command line (putty/ssh)
2) has to be configured via command line (no GUI settings)
3) has to be Attitude Adjustment packages (not TRUNK)
