Re: Installation issues for dummies
Oh ok. No LAN port.
So all your devices currently use Wifi to get internet?
You can use gargoyle to connect to it wirelessly.
Connection options are DHCP Wireless.
After that, all settings are basically the same.

Re: Installation issues for dummies
For your internet? Yes this doesn't change
For your wifi? That would be easiest as far as getting all devices back online
If you're asking about something else you'll need to clarify sorry.

Re: NAT for protocol 41 (ipv6 encapsulation) working?
All IPv6 related protocols and software is stripped from gargoyle. You'd need to install them and set them up from the command line.
Yes most setups applicable to openwrt work on gargoyle.

Re: Wireless WPA2 PSK Password
That's an unofficial version, but I'll look into it. Seems off that no one else has ever reported that and that is a pretty major bug. Can You show a screenshot of the two sections you are referring to just to make it clear? Also did you happen to have several windows or tabs open on the Gargoyle in...

Mmmm nothing should have changed for 2.4.
Keep an eye on it. If you can get a closer logread possibly helpful. Also potentially a dmesg as well.

Re: Installation issues for dummies
Yiu leave your provider modem set up the same as it is today, however if it has wifi you would disable that. You take an Ethernet cable from the LAN port of the modem to the WAN port of Gargoyle router, and set gargoyle to connect via DHCP wired. The WAN and LAN subnets need to be seperate so if you...

Re: how to slove kmod incompatibility issue
Usually an openwrt branch is just about finalised by the time gargoyle moves to it. Therefore kernel updates are not likely. In the case of chaos calmer, since we moved to it there has been 6 minor kernel updates. The latest kernel version is 3.18.29, but the openwrt repository holds 3.18.27 hence, ...

Re: how to slove kmod incompatibility issue
The build will be using a different kernel version to openwrt packages.
Just include the ones you want.
Or build every package and install them from a local repository.
