I want to try upgrade from 1.5.10 to .11.

Can i use preserve settings?

I changed something in the wireless config file to reach 300megabit in Wireless, must i redo this config?

Yes this method works with Openwrt should work on Gargoyle too.

So the difference betwen Gargoyle and Openwrt is basically some improvements and another GUI ?

I Reverted from Openwrt Back to original Firmware with a cutted firmware,this is a must, use a cutted firmware to avoid bricks.


I suppose that Gargoyle the same basis as Openwrt is and this way i can revert back using the same method using the cutted firmware?

Am i right?

Can somebody tell me if the revert files for Wdr4300 work to get back from OpenWrt to stock FW?

Just flash from web interface or must i use another method?

I want to flash back to original firmware too. I am following the steps described in Wiki that you linked. I have cut the firmware using a HEX editor to 0x20200 and the file is exactly 8,126,464 Bytes like described in Wiki. Can you or somebody please have a look to the firmware before i flash it to...
