bwmon shows usage for wan ip addr

It is not a ton of bytes but my wan ip address is showing up in the output of bw_get scripts. Why would that be vs the internal ip addr 10.0/192.168?

Re: My refurbished Archer C7 v5 unstable w/ 1.12.0

Ghost, I did read your post but it is hard to troubleshoot something that is unsupported. I have learned in tech to go with the flow of what is supported by the volunteer committers. Asking them to help troubleshoot a non-supported configuration in their spare time is not really fair. There are enou...

Re: Long load times for non-browser cached pages using Chrome

going to only http seems to make it quicker but Firefox seems to still be much quicker for Gargoyle. Maybe I have to use FF for Gargoyle admin.

Re: Long load times for non-browser cached pages using Chrome

yes, I enabled https only but I guess that is not necessary for internal usage at home.

Long load times for non-browser cached pages using Chrome

I have noticed that the initial load for a gargoyle page (bandwidth, overview, etc...) takes up to 25 seconds to load. Once loaded, it can be refreshed in <1s. Is this expected and normal behavior? If not, how would I go about showing this? I have a .har from chrome. Would that work? memory is 30% u...

Re: Configuration file locations for manual copy via SSH

Has anyone written a script to automate this process? It seems all of these files are in the backup tar. It has to be possible. It would also seem possible to script the uci commands to restore other common settings.

Re: Huge network usage by Gargoyle?

If you have webmon turned on you can see the websites visited. If not, then you can look back at each day/hour/minute to see if there are any spikes. However, gargoyle does not track the specific sites visited. You can call the same scripts that the web pages does for current connections (cat /proc/...

Re: just checking - 'best' router wrt1900acs ?

I got the WRT32x certified "renewed" on amazon for $89. It has worked very well so far. I would recommend a USB stick for extra logs/files, etc...

From the list of supported routers, v5 is not there.

I would recommend against buying a new router not on that list. I recently got a refurb WRT32x for $79 on Amazon.

Re: Trying to access LAN hosts from WAN when away from Home

I have a new WRT32X, so that should have been quick. The VPN config screen came back but then the app froze. I tried to power cycle both with switch and plug. Neither worked. I had to reset to get it to respond. The device seemed to be in some kind of comatose state. DHCP seemed to be working becaus...
