Clear IP list?
Hi we run a holiday home that has free wifi, and after the guests have gone would like to clear the IP host list, leaving the quotas in place. I have done a search in documentation but cant find anything can anyone enlighten me please? Thanks. Alistair. (search on the forum gave me no decent info, b...

Quota use @ 100%
Request: when quota reaches 100% and effective bandwidth is not stopped, just limited, can we have continued monitoring of this node? For example 110% (10% over)
Currently, the Quota useage reaches 100% and stays there regardless of continued throughput.
Thanks,
Alistair.

Remember host name
Bandwidth Quota Usage (and other status's) and Host offline the display reverts to host IP. Would be useful to save hostname, and when offline the IP is always replaced by hostname when Display Hostname and IP/hostname previously saved. If bandwidth allocation is changed in ver 1.4.5 previous IP use...

Re: Wifi Died 1.5.2 wrt54gl
Wifi died on my 1.5.2 and died 1.4.5 too! Here is how I fixed: It seems you cant use saved settings (restore) reliably. Once the router receives the complex list of settings it somehow gets confused and drops the wifi. Completely clear the wrt54gl memory by usual 3 x reset or upgrade the firmware if...

Re: 1.5.2 / WRT54GL no go
Yes, it looks like you might have found the generic tftp flashing instructions. If not, they are here listed under Linux/Based: http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/generic.flashing.tftp Download and use gargoyle_1.4.5-wrt54g-squashfs.bin as the firmware image you use for the tftp recovery. Brilliant!...

Re: 1.5.2 / WRT54GL no go
I just found this; is it whats correct? Task: Change IP address You can change ip address using ifconfig command itself. To set IP address 192.168.1.5, enter command: # ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.5 netmask 255.255.255.0 up # ifconfig eth0 To make permanent changes to IP address you need to edit configu...

Re: 1.5.2 / WRT54GL no go
I don't really know what you are asking? You don't know how to set your computer to have a static ip address of 192.168.1.2? You'll surely need to do this to do a tftp recovery. Correct, all the texts say 'you have to set your computer to xx i.p.' but dont say how to do it. My network properties sh...

1.5.2 / WRT54GL no go
Hi I have had it working for a few days really well then today for no apparent reason lost router connection. Perhaps its because I should have used stable version 1.5.1? It seems to be bricked have tried arp mac address then ping both 192.168.1.1 and my setting of 192.168.5.1. This is after a tripl...

Re: Computername = username shared computer
The easiest solution to your problem is purchase a device per teenage girl :) But expensive option when the shared unit is a good piece of kit, which is happily shared (most of the time). If gargoyle logged the computername as well then that would suffice imho, if the computername changed each sepa...

Re: Computername = username shared computer
While I was fighting with regedit and win7 permissions, I suddenly realised that method will not work. Gargoyle picks up on the computername only when its online, but all records are saved in ip address. The method I suggest changes the computername per user, but its IP address remains constant; thu...
