Re: QOS by IP Range? - Also: Backup DHCP list?
You can also open up the backup file that gargoyle creates (backup.tar.gz) by using 7zip. Inside there go to \etc\config and you will see dhcp and qos.

Overclocking
Any idea on what would need to be done to allow for overclocking of the g300nh or other Atheros routers that don't use the traditional style of boot method (NVRAM on wrt54g)? I had a wrt54gs with broadcom stock 200mhz at 248 for years with no issues, not even a fan! I remember stress testing it with...

Re: Version 1.3.14
Reset button is not working on my g300nh with 1.3.14. I know how to change the LED behavior, but I can't seem to find how to use gpio-buttons to diagnose the script or what not.
I'm also curious how to change button behavior ex: make the usb button run a script, etc.

Re: Version 1.3.12
I always have bwmon_gargoyle disabled and 1.3.12 doesn't reset like 1.3.11 did. However, a suggestion regarding qosmon... I edited the qos_gargoyle script to have max 40 ping and it works much better in mitigating latency. Figuring that it is pinging the first hop, which unloaded usually is 1 or 2 m...

Re: Version 1.3.11
I stopped bwmon and disabled it long time ago as I don't need it. Well same thing with 1.3.11 but when I edit qos upload or qos download rules and hit save, it ends up rebooting the router. Router is Buffalo G300nh like others have seen issues with.

Re: cifs kmod failure (backfire garg)
same here... no cifs. It says it conflicts with current kernel, even if I choose the same version of kmod-fs-cifs! I resorted to lftp to transfer files off of the router onto my pc.

Re: Version 1.3.11
Hi there, Here's my scenario, after assigning static ip addresses paired with specific mac addresses, and with the "Block MAC addresses assigned a static ip that connect from a different ip" box ticked, in order to enforce quota for each specfic users. The problem is that if a user manual...

Re: Bandwidth limit
Put his IP into a quota with max 1 MB combined. After 1 MB all of his traffic will go into a class (example, bulk) with a limit set on it (DL/UL or both).

Re: FIOS and tcp_vegas support w /qos
Oh and my QOS goals are to not have to throttle torrents. I have a synology ds211j running transmission and when it maxes out download, due to it using many connections, ping goes up horribly for gaming or web surfing. A single stream maxed out download barely affects ping. As for recompiling the ke...

Re: FIOS and tcp_vegas support w /qos
Speed tier is 25/25 but I get 30 down/26 up on most tests. The 50 speed I get is while testing VOD HD streams, which each take 15 mbits. I ran 2 VOD HD streams and was getting 20 down on the PC, which adds up to 50 total. The int eth1 graph in X-Wrt showed a total of around 50 down. Supposedly that ...
