Re: Dlink Dir-835 A1 - bricked ?

http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=44909.msg163599#msg163599 See that thread D-Links usually have an emergency recovery mode Tried the recovery method but the ports are not alive , so I cannot ping any ip. I even put a switch between that way my PC can continuously ping for 192.168.0.1 but the...

Re: ASUS RT-N16

Don't know how I missed this thread... See my sig Look for the AsusWRT Merlin builds -- they work awesome See this thread: http://www.snbforums.com/threads/fork-update-for-374-43-available.18914/ Great build for the RT-N16 -- make sure you reset to defaults after you flash and re-configure fresh for...

Re: TL-WR741ND client+ap very low speed

Whenever you use AP+Client or repeater mode, your effective bandwidth is cut in 1/2 because of overhead. If you are getting 6-7mbps, max you would achieve is probably 3mbps and that is at OPTIMAL (highest signal) As the signal quality lowers, the rate will lower as well. Unless you can get your sign...

Re: WiFi Pineapple

Only info I found on this is that it is starting to be supported
on the TRUNK versions of OpenWRT (currently Chaos Calmer)

That being the case it could be a year or more before it is fully
supported by OpenWRT, and then some time after that before
Gargoyle would support it

Re: 1.6.2 stable for tl-wr841ND v9.0?

The 841N/D are showing as only having 4MB flash - you will run out of space quickly and that can cause stability issues (not always immediately, it can happen over time and require the router to constantly be rebooted) You are better off finding an 8MB flash router / 32MB Ram to flash Gargoyle on, o...

Re: /etc is not writeable: No space left on device?

You're running out of space

4MB of flash is just not enough space for
Barrier Breaker builds of Gargoyle

You should stick with 1.6.2 on that router

Or build your own OpenWRT builds with features you need

See this:

Re: ASUS RT-N56U?

http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/asus/rt-n56u I'd suggest looking for an Atheros (first choice) or Broadcom (second choice) chipset router Ralink chipsets are newer supports for OpenWRT and probably need a lot more testing and development Tons of development/testing have been done with Atheros chipsets B...
