Re: Help with testing the AP+Client Bug

OK, will try more tests this weekend with these re-builds. -------------------------- Eric, did testing as you advised. Tried for about 3-4 hours, and I could only connect once to the Fonera with Gargoyle 1.0.0 setup as Client + AP. Jul 15 11:51:14 OpenWrt user.notice root: adding wan (br-wan) to fi...

Re: Help with testing the AP+Client Bug

I'm not a Unix guy. I know Unix and am familiar with it, but I would need to get pointers.

If you can tell me where/how to put those 2 compiled versions and how to activate them, I can do that.

Also Eric - What directory could I get the logs from on the Fonera?

Help with testing the AP+Client Bug

Eric, How can I help test the AP+Client bug? Attaching an image of my home network - It's definitely NOT your standard home config  !! My Fonera is purely for testing, so is open to whatever help you need with troubleshooting. Let me know if you need logs or what type of tests I could help you ...

Re: 1.0 Final

What are the different versions for Atheros? gargoyle_1.0.0-atheros-ubnt2-pico2-squashfs.bin gargoyle_1.0.0-atheros-ubnt2-squashfs.bin gargoyle_1.0.0-atheros-ubnt5-squashfs.bin Are these compiled under different systems? Do they have any performance gain? Thanks for the 1.0.0! Uploading the default ...

Re: Max # of Ports / Port timeouts

Yea, Ports, Connections, whatever it should be called, I'm easy.

I'm always running the latest bleeding edge Atheros build.

You gotta live life on the edge! :D

Max # of Ports / Port timeouts

In DD-WRT, you can change the Max # of ports from 1 - 4096 and you can also change the timeouts for TCP and UDP ports as well. Is there any ability to do this with Gargoyle? Reason I ask is this: People keep complaining about how torrents affect the router and performance. I don't do much torrents a...

Re: Reset to Defaults / Erase NVRam

Eric, Hopefully this is some additional help in troubleshooting the bandwidth bug / time zones thing. The dates and the data are not lining up properly. I'm in Pacific time zone, and I messed around and changed the timezone to UTC, and then to Australia, which changed the whole thing forward 1 day. ...

Re: Reset to Defaults / Erase NVRam

Hope you don't think I'm bugging you on it! I don't even use or care about it :D I'm just trying to help test and see if I can reproduce any errors. I usually have QoS, bandwith monitor, DDNS all turned off and disabled - I got other equipment doing that stuff. I just liked how Gargoyle consumed muc...

Re: Reset to Defaults / Erase NVRam

OK That new gargoyle config file worked and I was able to reset the password via the web gui. Now I can get back in and all settings are still there. 1 other question, I was doing this to try out bandwidth monitor. I had it disabled but enabled it now for testing. Why is all my old data there and ho...

Re: Reset to Defaults / Erase NVRam

OK... Backed up my config just in case. Did a reset to defaults, left it for over 5 minutes, it just stayed at the loading screen. Went back to 192.168.1.1 - no change. Rebooted router, tried again, no luck. Tried 2 different browser, Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 3.5 Both have web page caching di...
