Updated my second Tp-Link WDR4300 and TL-WR842ND with sysupgrade file preserving settings and it worked without problems.

Re: How return to original firmware(uninstall Gargoyle) MR-3

Oh this time i was late to help but i am glad you solved.

MTD method and upload in tmp folder is the method i use when i play around.
Be sure when you do this the firmware used is without _boot_ and if it is cut it or use one without _boot_ .

Re: How to revert back to factory firmware

Look, i don't know if we can flash back via Web Interface but to be sure i did not try it and will allways use the upload method because it worked several times without problem.

In DDWRT they have revert firmwares it would be a nice option on Gargoyle if this was possible.

Re: How to revert back to factory firmware

Thank you danymarc for your answer.

I had a brick problem with my TL-WR841ND and had to wait a lot of time until my Nokia Cable arrived to unbrick.

Now that i know what i made wrong the best way to flash back is to cut the firmware upload it via WinScp and flash it with the mtd command.
