Hi everyone. I'm 8000 miles from my router. I asked my remote helper for a router hard restart by using on/off switch. she didn't. She used the Blue Button and and what with various power restarts with on/off switch and power cable dis/reconnection, to try and get internet working again, the router ...

Re: WRT1200AC configuration restore fails
Looks like I have managed to correct the problem. After reflashing with Linksys firmware, I waited for a few days and flashed with 1.9. Entered all the settings again and waited a few more days after proving the settings survived a cold and hot restart. Waited a few more days and upgraded to 1.10. A...

Re: WRT1200AC configuration restore fails
Well for some reason, looks like I either reloaded Gargoyle WRT1900 firmware, or its been like that since I first loaded Gargoyle onto the WRT1200. Either way, that's been corrected and now have the correct firmware. BUT... Linksys firmware loads, runs, backups and restores fine. Buggered if I can g...

WRT1200AC configuration restore fails
Hello all. Device Name:Gargoyle Gargoyle Version:1.10.0 Model:Linksys WRT1900ACv2 Changing a couple of settings and saving them, caused my WRT1200AC to completely loose its configuration. Fine I thought, i'll just restore from my last backup of a few months ago. Well this didn't go as planned and ca...

Re: TP-Link WR1043N v5
I have two WR1043ND V2. I had persistent wifi problems with latest Gargoyle builds. I have now reverted and reflashed to latest LEDE build. Everything working fine at the moment, my "customers" are not reporting problems. One of several PITA with LEDE compared with Gargoyle, is the...

Re: WR-1043ND V2 wifi problems?
Decided to disable the on board wifi and now using a BT HH5 as an access point, with the advantage of dual bands.
Now looking at an TP-LINK-Archer-C7-AC1750 to replace the WR1043ND, which hopefully won't have the same wifi problem?
Or should I dump TP-Link and go for Linksys. If so, which one?

Re: WR-1043ND V2 wifi problems?
Thanks Eric. Assume this is a Open-WRT software problem, as opposed to TP-Link hardware? I tried to get to the links provided, but Chrome is suggesting... You cannot visit dev.openwrt.org right now because its certificate has been revoked. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this pa...

WR-1043ND V2 wifi problems?
I've got two 1043's. Each is in a physically separate environment, using different ISP's. One is using DD-WRT with no firmware updates for a couple of years. The other is using the latest version of Gargoyle, 1.10. People using the DD-WRT version have been reporting WiFi problems with connections ma...

Re: Port Forward list disappears?
Coming to the conclusion I didn't save the settings at various times of me editing. Time will tell.
