I am familiar with linux, and I have used vi and pico editors and I know how to SSH into a server.

Perhaps its not a question of security, but a question of the extra traffic a reply incurrs? I thought the whole point of making your ports sealth is to prevent ICMP ping/DOS attacks as your router simply drops the packet and doesnt reply. I have noticed my WAN and modem light blinking ALOT faster n...

BINGO!! It was my NOD antivirus, good call. I resolved the issue by adding the IP of the gateway to the excluded ip list in this manner.
Advanced setup-->Web and Email-->Protocol filtering-->Excluded IP addresses
Hope this doesnt prevent antivirus filtering from the internet now

I'm not sure whats going on, but if I try the gui using HTTPS its works for the most part. But some pages/graphics randomly wont display, and the logout screen doesnt ever work.
