Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 4

Well, the thing is, I've never set a country. You need to do it just after your first flash/boot You set country and Root password. I understand there is also geo-location check based on your IP address. If you are using a VPN service I guess that could cause problems. Its to stop people trying to ...

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 4

Your config file sets the country specifically to NL right? What appears to be happening is the device is reading the country code from EEPROM at boot as US, where channels 12-14 are not allowed. Thus the wifi can’t start. Normally you would see another line indicating it is overriding the country ...

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 4

Yes, I can force the problem (just put on higher channel and reboot). Where are logread and dmesg located? It already took some effort for me to figure out how to retrieve the other file, but I don't know where this is. https://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=8505 There you go...

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 4

Sure, it might be a bit of a strange assumption to make, and maybe even “lazy coding” but it works. There’s no reason for you to add any repository pointing to the Gargoyle site that isn’t there by default. Openwrt the argument could be made, sure. Nothing out of the ordinary in your settings. Coul...

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 4

Did you preserve settings on upgrade? If you add a source that is at the Gargoyle or Openwrt sites, it is considered “preset” and unremovable. You could manually remove the source from /etc/opkg.conf I will check your behaviour with wifi, but I’d love to see any relevant logs. I’ve never seen this ...

Re: Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 4

I'm unable to remove 1.10 from plugin list after adding 1.11-rc4 path: https://i.imgur.com/woKP2dZ.png My router now has this uptime 5 days, 3 hours, 51 minutes It's been solid as a rock with the last RC4 build (what changed with this new RC4 build?). Wi-Fi channel settings are still semi broken tho...

Did anything change from the previous RC4 build?

Re: [BROKEN] Gargoyle 1.11.0 Release Candidate 3

You may have heard some negative. However, what you have accomplished amazes me far beyond my ability to express gratitude. Had someone told me that a mid level atheros could do low lag routinely and that QOS would be easy to do, I'd never believed it. Yet you have done it already. I think it likel...

Total Bandwidth not remembered on restore/upgrade

I'm not sure when this happened, I think on upgrade.
But when you upgrade (or restore a backup) the firmware, the QoS "Total (Upload/Download) Bandwidth" gets reset to 3200 down and 320 up.

WiFi Schedule

I've some questions about the WiFi schedule plugin.

- What does the 'Timer increment:' mean/do? Regardless of what I change it to, the outcome seems to be the same.
- Is there any way to specify times by 15 or 30 minutes? I would like to turn wifi back on again 30 minutes earlier (but not 60).
