Re: /packages/kamikaze0709/brcm-2.4/ (... md5sum mismatch)

Yeah, this was a human mistake, thanks for pointing it out. I recently upgraded the packages to a svn r30, which is newer than beta2 because of some important new error checking I added which seemed fairly critical. See this post . However, I forgot to update the package index files, hence the error...

Gargoyle Trunk Should Work Again

The latest revision in the Gargoyle SVN (r33) should work now. Contact me if you have problems. Oh -- my previous claim stands vindicated. There's no new Kamikaze release in site, and it's already several days past the proposed release date. I'm holding out for Kamikaze 8.09, but I'll settle for Kam...

FYI

I'm doing a bunch of updates on the back-end of Gargoyle, and for now the latest svn trunk fails to build properly. Checkout r30 from the SVN for the latest version that builds successfully. I'll post again later this week when the latest trunk is working again. For now, stick with r30. For those of...

Re: Fonera, AP+Client

Thanks for posting about the problem and providing such detailed configuration info. I think I see what's going on -- the root of the issue is your issue (3). When testing my Fonera in client-mode, connecting to a broadcom router wpa psk2 does not work, only wpa psk. For this reason, even though thi...

Beta 2

I've just released Beta 2 of Gargoyle -- one day late. I'll be impressed if the OpenWrt developers can come that close to meeting their stated deadline for the upcoming Kamikaze release. The new version has a couple of new features including a utility to monitor web usage (e.g. what websites users h...

Re: 2 Things

Can you specify the exact port forwarding configuration that causes this problem? I have tried, but cannot replicate the problem you describe. I am currently investigating the upgrade issue. I think the problem occurs only when third-party firmwares other than OpenWrt are used as I have tested with ...

Re: Coexistence/interoperability w/ x-wrt

It might be possible, but you can't do it just by installing the X-wrt package -- there's going to be some substantial additional tinkering necessary. I have not tried this and I also have no intention of working on this -- I would much rather spend my time working on implementing the missing featur...

Re: Can we group the packages in the same menu tree

I've moved the gargoyle package into "Administration/Gargoyle Web Interface" as you suggest (svn r14). However, I'm not going to move the dependencies, as this really isn't the category they belong in. I may add other packages in this category in the future, but the only thing that belongs...

Re: Compiling problem

Based on the error messages you provide I suspect your problem is the one reported here: http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.xen.devel/51909 This seems to be dependent on the version of linux you are using to compile OpenWrt, and while I can't be sure I suspect you will find the same proble...

Re: Compiling problem

Since you're using full-build.sh and not full-build-trunk.sh I assume you mean the Gargoyle trunk and not the OpenWrt trunk. If you want to compile with the OpenWrt trunk use the full-build-trunk.sh. I'm not sure exactly what is causing the problem you are having, but I haven't been able to replicat...
