ASUS router is on an HSPA cellular data service at a remote location.
So the unidentified IP's are coming from external (WAN) sources.

Unknown or Unauthorized Access
I've noticed from both my Gargoyle routers running v1.8 that the log captures public attempts to login to the router. The IP addresses vary, but when I tried one out (not the IP's listed below), I got someone's QNAP NAS... and they had factory default passwords! Below is an example of what I'm seein...

Re: TP-Link Archer C7 support?
Looks like a reasonable router. If found on sale today, you may have to wait a bit... and then one more upgrade for stability... Looks like it will be supported in the next release... see comments from Eric at v1.6.2 launch: "This release is still based on the "Attitude Adjustment" (1...

Re: Issues with Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH2 supported
I've had 1.5.9 and previous versions working on the Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH2. Upgraded to 1.5.10 and it worked for a while, then the web interface stopped functioning. The router passed traffic, but I could only log in via SSH. So I upgraded it to 1.5.11 by going back through DD-WRT. Performed the 30/...

Re: Version 1.5.8 - USB Storage with FTP
1.5.8 latest version with Internet Explorer successful on two routers (Buffalo WZR-HP-G300HN2 and Asus WL500GP v1). Just got impatient and they looked bricked. No response to stimulus. I've done this many times, but this time it just felt that it took a lot longer. Or perhaps it was the screaming ki...

Re: PPPoE WAN Modem Bridge Mode
Thanks pbix for the issue confirmation and files! I'll give it a try. 1.5.6 doesn't like my NH2 router. And I need the web usage function back, as the present version with this bug attributes all web browsing to the modem IP only. I've been a Gargoyle user for a couple years now. I appreciate the ef...

PPPoE WAN Modem Bridge Mode
I'm running 1.5.7 on a Buffalo WZR-HP-G500NH2 using PPPoE thru a DSL modem. It appears like Gargoyle is getting confused or detecting multiple WAN IP in this process for itself and the DSL modem. The WAN IP does NOT appear on the Status > Overview page, rather the LAN IP (DHCP) served by the DSL mod...

Re: WZR-HP-G300NH2 A1A0
After bricking my new WZR-HP-G300NH2 A1A0 router with 1.5.6 a couple months ago, I recovered it using the TFTP back to the factory .enc then loaded 1.5.7 (tftp version) successfully. Red Diagnostic LED does stay lit, but Gargoyle works fine. Using QoS and quota's. Been up for a day. If there is any ...

Keep accumulating quota beyond 100%
Gargoyle seems to stop accumulating a user's quota once they hit 100%. I'm throttling the user by forcing them into the SLOW QoS when they exceed 100%. This is a suggestion or feature request that Gargoyle continue accumulating usage for an over-quota IP. The purpose is to show ongoing use, albeit i...
