Re: gargoyle-ispy 2017-January-19 10:47.torrent
Flashed the factory.bin on a new TP-Link Archer C7 V2. No file rename, no tricks, just upload from the TP-Link GUI. Now to configure all the needed settings (mainly DHCP table)...

Searching for Gargoyle-Router with 8 ports or more
Hi all, the topic says it all: Is there a router around that has at least 8 ports (Gigabit) and is capable of running Gargoyle? I want to replace the WD N900 because I want to see who's using the data (5GB monthly allowance on LTE). I could combine my Archer or one of the 1043NDs with a second switc...

SPAM avoidance strategies for the forum
Of late, I've had to notice and report lots of SPAM on these forums. Would it be possible to reduce these, e.g. by adding a rule to have the first posts approved by a moderator or administrator? The workload for the administrators should remain the same, they've got to remove the SPAM anyway. Regard...

Re: Archer c7 v2 - flashed to DD-WRT but will not take Gargo
Just picked up an Archer C7 v2 (US version). From the forum instructions for upgrade I downloaded.. factory-to-ddwrt-US.bin Which worked great - I'm seeing DD-WRT (build 29519). Then from the torrent I tried to install gargoyle_1.9.x-ar71xx-generic-archer-c7-v2-squashfs-factory.bin DD-WRT says the ...

Re: Successfully flashed a router? Tell Us!
I have installed Gargoyle 1.9.X (Built 20160722-0837 git@9156807) on TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v3. Flashing went smoothly and I've been able to setup my filters thanks to some help on the forum. My system is working. Hi, Could you tell us where to download this firmware version and what are the steps t...

Re: Gargoyle fails to update time after power cut
Gargoyle 1.8.1 on WR1043ND I have had several times recently when there has been a power cut, the router time has not updated correctly, so the various time-based restrictions don't work properly. I'm always told fairly quickly by the kids that it's wrong. Doing a reboot sorts it, but I would have ...

Re: Allow Channels 12,13,14 based on country (*MOD*)
You cannot enable channel 13 globally, but you can tell the router which country you are in, and the router will enable the channels that are allowed there. One manual for this I've got in my bookmarks, 'cause I've got to do it every time I update one of my routers: https://feeding.cloud.geek.nz/pos...

Re: TP-Link wa830re connection problem
Try installing the ping watchdog, set it to ping your main router and issue the command "wifi" in case the ping fails. This will restart the wireless connection if the wa830re fails to receive a ping response.

Re: Tp-Link WA801ND V3 - can I flash with Gargoyle for V2?
OpenWRT Wiki Page: https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wa801nd The V3 has a locked-down firmware and requires tinkering on the command line to overcome that restriction. The wiki page states that it is supported in OpenWRT from changeset 48705. The current dev snapshot of Gargoyle (from https://...
