Where does the broken pipe message originate? Would it be feasible to change that piece of code in a way to print this message only with a higher than standard log level?

It's fine. It means there is some code that could be cleaned up or rewritten, but it is not doing anything harmful or unexpected. Other than spamming the logfile with bogus entries, deleting older, but probably more interesting ones prematurely. My definition of "not harmful" seems to be ...

I'm not sure I follow you. The data used by clients on the extender is relevant to me because I'm on a metered network (data cap). I don't have any problem identifying and measuring data usage of clients connected to the gargoyle router wifi, but I want to do the same for clients using the extender...

I added a Netgear Extender to the Gargoyle router, connected to the LAN port, and I want to measure data usage, but it doesn't even appear to be a connected host. Is that only possible for wireless hosts? Does the extender use data by itself? I guess not, so the only data you will see is data of cl...

My router is online and seeding. It's running transmission, and there are between 4 and 6 seeders. Upload ratio 7.62
